Ms. Rose’s practice focuses on the areas of: Elder Law, Medicaid Planning (Nursing Home and Home Care), Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, and Probate and Administration of Estates.
Kathleen Mary Wojciaczyk Rose, Esq., LMSW, is an Attorney and Licensed Master Social Worker. She is now associated with the law firm of Feldman, Kramer & Monaco, P.C. based in Hauppauge, New York.She now brings her unique blend of experiences to FK&M clients. Those experiences result in a fresh perspective in her problem-solving approach.
Ms. Rose’s practice focuses on the areas of: Elder Law, Medicaid Planning (Nursing Home and Home Care), Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, and Probate and Administration of Estates.
Prior to joining the firm, she held a dual legal/social work role at Peconic Bay Skilled Nursing Facility. Ms. Rose investigated compliance issues, served as a patient advocate, and educated staff and patients on various medical, insurance and social services programs. Over three years, she successfully resolved numerous compliance matters and created improved operating standards for the Social Work Department.
Her combination of legal experience and compassion bring solutions and comfort to seniors and caregivers when planning in advance and in times of crisis.
While working part-time, Kathy earned simultaneously her law degree at Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, and her Masters in Social Work at SUNY at Stony Brook. During her law school career, Kathy was a three-time winner of Walter & Sidney R. Siben Fellowship Award.
She has also worked as an attorney in the Touro Law Center’s Community Justice Center, the first law school incubator program on Long Island assisting attorneys in developing and sustaining economic law practices serving the needs of Suffolk County residents.
Her first role as an attorney was with a well-known regional law firm specializing in trusts and estates and taxation.
She also has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mary Washington College, earning membership in the Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology.
She is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is also licensed by New York State as a social worker.
